Man’s Search for Meaning - Viktor E. Frankl

This is one of the most, if not the most impressive book I’ve ever read. It is a personal account of a Holocaust survivor. It describes life in a Nazi concentration camp. Not only does Frankl believe that the ’size’ of human suffering is absolutely relative, he also believes there is meaning in suffering. It gives us opportunities for achievement. If a man has no choice but to bear his cross, his unique opportunity lies in the way in which he bears his burden. No matter how difficult your circumstances, you always have a choice how to respond. I was left in awe by Frankl’s wisdom and compassion. After reading this book, I had no choice but to view my life differently
