Learning about the ancient toltec way of seeing the world has expanded my horizon and has inspired me to see my life differently. It introduced me to the idea that everything is a manifestation of one Source, Ruiz calls God. Life as we see it is an illusion. We do not see the true state of everything, which is pure light, because our perception is clouded by a lack of awareness.

The four agreements are a code of conduct that allow us to go beyond the illusion. They are extremely powerful. Living these four agreements means living with integrity. To be impeccable with your word, don’t take anything personally, don’t make assumptions and always do your best is a major challenge, but one that’s definitely worth my while.
